Valentine's Cheese Re-Cap

Thank you to all who participated in The Agrarian Collective's cheese workshop shop last Friday evening. What a tasty way to spend Valentine's Day! I certainly had fun and hope you all did too!

It was great to finally work with Kelli Hanley, founder of The Agrarian Collective. Her workshops are informative and fun, and she thinks of everything -- right down to the perfect music to play as you're learning. She shared my Valentine's playlist, "Not So Cheesy Love Songs" on her blog here.

Kelli has a jam-packed calendar full of creative, culinary workshops and tastings coming up. Her next offering will be this Thursday, February 20 at Spice Kitchen where she'll be leading a salt tasting in partnership with Edible Cleveland. Sounds like fun!

Stay tuned for more opportunities to taste the bounty of dairy goodness that Northeast Ohio cheese makers are producing. I'm working on a few new ideas for spring.

In the meantime, my seasonal selections of local cheeses can be found at Luna Bakery Cafe in Cleveland Heights. A new column (at right) and updates on the FarmShare website will let you know what's in stock from week to week. If you're looking for something special that you don't see on the list, just email info@farmshareohio.com or call 216.225.6311 and I'll help track it down for you.

And if you're in the mood for a cheese plate, or a finely crafted pizza, stop by Vero Pizzeria. Vero now features FarmShare selections of locally made cheeses on their house cheese plate and on select pizzas. Vero is located at 12421 Cedar Road in Cleveland Heights.
