MASON'S CREAMERY & THE CHOMP

I finally had the opportunity to meet the nice folks at Mason's Creamery and taste their delicious, hand-made ice creams.

A mid-week meeting downtown made for a convenient stop at The Chomp where I enjoyed a delicious scoop of Mason's Honey Pistachio. This was no easy decision. After sampling the entire menu, I chose to forego Mason's line-up of creative flavors like Honey Lime, Butter Popcorn and a refreshing Earl Grey -- all tempting options. I'll have to visit again soon.

Each week, Mason's whips up their small, seasonal batches of ice cream and sells them at farmers markets and events all over town. They keep a busy schedule and the best way to find out where they'll be is to check their Twitter feed which you can do right here.

A summer project of Midtown Cleveland, The Chomp happens every Tuesday between 11:30 and 1:30 at East 46th & Euclid Ave. In addition to Mason's ice cream, there's a nice little pod of food trucks and tables for your al fresco chomping pleasure.

Warm, summer weather is back and it's feeling a lot more like August this week -- perfect weather for ice cream.
