Celebrate Local Food Week in the Heights!

October 1-6 is Local Food Week in Cleveland Heights & University Heights!

Celebrate local food, farmers and the harvest season at a series of fun and flavorful events all week long. You'll find a complete schedule of Local Food Week events here at the Sustainable Heights Network's website.

On Friday, October 5, FarmShare and The Wine Spot will host a tasting of local wines and cheeses from 6-8pm at The Wine Spot. You'll have the opportunity to chat with Mariann Janosko from Lake Erie Creamery and taste their delicious, locally made cheeses. Adam & Sue Fleischer will be pouring a selection of local wines from Harpersfield, Debonné and St. Joseph vineyards. Tickets for the tasting are $15 per person.

A Local Food Festival will take place on Saturday, October 6 at Grace Lutheran Church (13001 Cedar Road, Cleveland Heights). Enjoy presentations from Edible Cleveland, Dunham Tavern Garden, Douglas Katz of Fire Food & Drink and much more. You can also enter to win a FarmShare Gift Basket and one-year subscription to Edible Cleveland.

We hope to see you this week at a Local Food Week event!
