A Sweet Surprise

This week's FarmShare subscribers were lucky recipients of a sweet, little surprise compliments of our friends at Edible Cleveland. Tucked among the strawberries, fresh mint and rosemary, rainbow chard, bok choi, and lettuces was the June edition of Edible Cleveland magazine.

For Northeast Ohio locavores like us, there just isn't any better reading than Edible Cleveland. This summer's "sweet spot" issue, features a first-hand look at the beauty of bee keeping written by our good friend Heidi Robb. Mary Holmes shares her recipe for strawberry jam. You'll find a mouthwatering photo essay on the making of French macarons (warning: it will have you making a bee-line to Luna Bakery and Cafe to taste them for yourself). And you can learn how to pack the perfect local picnic basket with with some tips from yours truly.

If you didn't get in on a FarmShare delivery this week, visit Edible Cleveland to learn where you can pick up the June issue. Or, just become a subscriber already and lend your support to what we think is a sweet addition to our local food community.
